I’ve been daily documenting (journaling) for over 20 years. I’ve decided to start posting them here everyday, from the previous day. This is how my brain works. My journals could offend you, inspire you, or just make you laugh. Let's find out.

276 days. It’s coming.

It’s important for me to sit in the pocket with truth, focus, intention, and integrity.

Nothing has to be physically produced at this time, but I must sit in the moment prepared to receive what comes through me.

Not clouding my space with mindless consumption but leaving my space uncluttered and sitting in sacred silence so I can feel, receive, and articulate.

Sitting in sacred silence creates the conditions needed to produce with power and clarity.

What you avoid compounds and grows. There’s an “integrity-led” approach for every situation. The “approach” is a must. It’s truth. It’s nature. It’s alignment.

It’s not designed to be easy. It’s designed to generate growth.

Keep writing. Everything in your world starts with writing.

  • Create space
  • Receive it
  • Write it

The idea of ‘BE THAT MAN’ is important. It pulls a man back to consciousness around showing up in a way that makes himself proud at the end of the day, no matter how uncomfortable it may have been in the moment.

BE THAT MAN

  • organized
  • focused
  • non-procrastinating
  • creative
  • expressive
  • grounded
  • intentional

Everything transcends everything. Everything flows through. All systems engage each other.

Example: If I say the man I choose to be is organized, I’m choosing to be organized in every are of my life. This requires me to be conscious and ‘simplify my life up’ to only what matters.

NO MUDDY WATER. Run everything through the filtration system of TRUTH. Truth is the ultimate filtration system for a life of peace and freedom. And the truth always starts and ends with me.

Curb complaints and, instead, solicit solutions.

Talk your truth directly (like Dan Koe said). Even though you know there are other ways, speak your truth with humble masculine authority and leadership.

How do you write an engaging newsletter?

  • Eliminate all words that don’t need to be said
  • Have one clear point or takeaway
  • Define the problem
  • Offer a solution in the form of a perspective, framework, system, or process
  • Connect a story to it
  • Call them to action
  • Write to yourself with an unfiltered truth and without editing
  • Edit for the people

Post your journal everyday. Daily documenting. This will bring people to your site everyday. Doesn’t need to be polished. Just post it everyday, as is. You’re demonstrating how random streams of thought can look and creating a safe space for others to do the same.

Perfection is always happening. It’s unavoidable. The circumstance, timing, and components needed for “what is” is always there.

I’m building my new website and I really want to go on Youtube, right now, and watch a tutorial video on how to build a certain part of it. That’s just a distraction from what I already intuitively understand needs to be done. Instead of heading to Youtube I came here to document this.

Now, I’ll go build it with full focus.

Daily Documenting is my open journal. It’s me brain dumping the randomness that hits my mind, heart, and soul throughout the day. I’ve decided to start posting it openly with the understanding that it could offend, inspire, or amuse you… maybe all three. Let’s find out.

You won’t be flawless but you can flaw less

Unhealthy consumption drowns your inner voice. It clogs your receiving pathways. It fills your system with depression-based dopamine, which eventually triggers anxiety as you worry about the future you keep putting on hold through unhealthy consumption.

Think about it, you don’t say:

  • Man I just ate way too much food. I feel light, fueled up, and energized.
  • I just mindlessly scrolled social media for an hour looking at everyone else’s manicured life. My mind is so clear and creative now… and I feel great about myself.
  • That was the best 30 minutes of news I’ve watched all day. I’ve never felt this uplifted and optimistic about the world.
  • I’m so glad I drank all that alcohol last night. This morning I feel fully focused and like my life matters more than ever.
  • These endless conversations filled with gossip and complaining has me so ready to contribute my gifts to the world in the most positive way.

Consumption drains you unless you are intentional and have high standards about what you choose to take in. Make sure your consumption is linked to the value you choose to create in your life.

On your death bed you WILL NOT say:

  • I’m so happy I worked at that “safe” job that snatched my soul and left me unfulfilled.
  • I’m so happy I stayed comfortable and didn’t conquer my addictions to food, alcohol, gossip, social media, and complaining.
  • I’m so happy I complained so much instead of finding or creating valuable solutions.
  • I’m so happy I stayed in a victims mindset my entire life and continued blaming people, places, and things for my lack of vibrance in life.
  • I’m so happy I spent 10 hours a week watching Netflix while simultaneously complaining about not being able to lose weight, and how I’ve tried everything.

End of day reflection: today was a magical day. My world expanded through my writing and clarity. I’m grateful for peace and a sound mind.
